FFF 2008 Submission RulesThis is a featured page

1. The deadline for submissions is 15th August 2008.

2. To be eligible for submission, your film must be:-

● made by one or more Sierra Leoneans (living anywhere, filmed anywhere,on any subject)
● made in Sierra Leone (by anyone, living anywhere, on any subject)
● made about Sierra Leone (by anyone, living anywhere)

3. Your film can be in any:-

● genre (e.g. romance, comedy, thriller, etc);
● style (e.g. documentary, drama, narrative, animation, etc);
● form (e.g. short, feature, experimental, etc);
● and for any purpose (education, advertising, corporate, music promo, etc).


4. You may submit as many films as you wish. (N.B. Filmmakers are responsible for ensuring that any film they submit has appropriate permissions, clearances or licences as required for a festival screening. Freetown Film Festival, its organisers or its agents cannot be held liable for any breaches or avoidance of legal responsibilities on the part of filmmakers or their films.)



5. All film submissions must:-

  • be accompanied by a completed Film Submission Entry Form. (Download the attachment at the bottom of this page, then print and complete.)
  • be submitted on DVD (but VCD is acceptable if the former is not possible), with the title of the film and the name and contact details of the submitting entrant(s) clearly marked on each disc.
be accompanied, with the following:-
a video trailer, and a publicity poster, and a still from the film (in print or in computer format).


N.B.
If you have any difficulty in fulfilling any of the above conditions,
please contact the Festival Organisers.


Film Submission Benefits
In addition to the opportunity to be selected for screening during FFF, submitted films will also benefit from the following:-
● Official notification confirming that your film was selected and screened at the FFF.
● A free promotional listing on the FFF website (and a link to your film's website if available)
● Inclusion in the international Sierra Leone Film Index, (available online to all film and television organisations and distribution companies around the world.)
● Copies of all submissions will be included in the official film archive – FFF Archive Collection, for national and international educational and research purposes.
● The opportunity to be selected and promoted at additional film festivals in other countries

Submission Fees
The submission fee for each film is as follows:-
Local submissions (sent from within Sierra Leone): FREE
International submissions (sent from outside Sierra Leone): GBP10.00/USD20.00
