Policy & Development
Following publication of the first official document to acknowledge and identify the emerging landscape of the nascent Sierra Leone film industry (Putting Sierra Leone In The Picture: A white paper on indigenous film sector development), exploratory discussions have already begun with local filmmakers and various public and civil society stakeholders..
The stakeholders will eventually include several government ministries, (including Information & Broadcasting, Youth & Sport, Culture, Tourism, Education, Trade and Development) as well as organisations such as the nascent National arts Council, the Labour Congress, the Sierra Leone Association of Journalists (SLAJ).
